Editor's Desk: Millions people across India glued to their TV sets today at 11 AM to watch Aamir Khan's much-awaited TV show, "Satyamev Jayate" on Star Plus. The show showed the real picture of India and the issues that need urgent attention.

Aamir focused on the issues of female foeticide in India in the first episode. He also showed the battered mothers who defied the odds to bring up their girl children.

Surprisingly, the battered women included both illiterate and educated too. A lady doctor (Dr. Mitu Khurana) from New Delhi narrated her experience and trauma of how she was tortured by her husband and in-laws for giving birth to twin girls.

Another woman Amisha Yagnik from Ahmedabad revealed on the show that she was forced to abort her female unborn children six times in eight years. Another woman Parveen Khan from Morena narrated how her husband tortured her by biting her face repeatedly, forcing her to go for a plastic surgery.

Emotions ran high, as Aamir came up the real incidents one after another. People were seen in tears and their moist eyes said it all about how Aamir tried to touch the real issues that gripped the nation.

Aamir focused on the real issues, which were reflected in the 2011 Census, which says at least 10,00,000 unborn female children are being killed every year. The sex ratio between the boys and girls stands at 1000:914 in India, which depicts a gloomy picture.
